Wow I can't believe we only have one more week of school until Christmas break. Your children have been so excited about learning this month. I hope that they have shared some of their fun and excitement with you. I love the fact that we have this space and time to share just
in case they are a little quiet when they get home. Here are just a few pictures of what keeps us busy at school.
On Wed and Thursday we had a Triangle hunt in our classroom. The Children took turns finding the triangles that Mrs.
Terre hid around the room. When they got back to their seats they were able to glue them onto their Rectangle paper. These are the shapes we learned
about this month. Nathan found so many triangles.. What a great job.
Everyone waiting patiently for their turn to hunt triangles.
Ask your children about the red poem we learned. If they need a little help start them out with Red is a ______.. They should be able to tell you Red is a stop sign, Red is a rose, Red is an apple and
Rudolph's red nose! Here is a picture of Brook wearing
Rudolph's red nose.
Nathan and
Rudolph's Red nose.
Jared and
Rudolph's Red nose. I hope that this fun poem helped enforce the color red in an exciting way. It was also a great way to practice patience as we waited for our turn to be Rudolph.
After snack time each day we have quiet book and puzzle time. These two guys are the best of friends and had fun reading a book together.
Nathan reading Pizza Pat.. This book is a favorite in our classroom.. Ask your children what happened to pizza pats pizza.. It's really a cute story, and the children all know the quirky little rhymes.
Jared and Brook at book time.
Tack had so much fun with the pretend snow. He was so silly. He would put the snow in this glue cap and blow it.. Then he would just laugh and laugh and laugh..
Brook, Holland and Frances have become great
hairstylist at school. They love to take turns doing each others hair.. Notice the blanket they are sitting on.. Brook is one smart cookie, she sings our have a seat song and lays the blanket out just like Mrs.
Terre and I.. She knows how to get them to sit.
LOL Mrs.
Terre and Cooke work on Cooke's Rectangle fire place
Place mat. Ask your children how many Rectangles are on their
place mat. Don't be surprised when they count the
place mat itself. It is after all a rectangle. It was so much fun listening to your children tell us about
their family and their stockings at home.

This month we have been blessed to have Mrs. Stephanie
Worrel and her daughter Fletcher from the five day class come in for our enrichment program. They taught us all bout primary colors and what happens when we mix them. Here are a few pictures of the fun we had. Be sure to thank Mrs.
Worrel and Fletcher if you see them at school.
Wow.. What great BIG paintbrushes.. Even Mrs.
Terre and I thought these were cool.
Colin and Cooke taking turns with the yellow paint shaker. We used this one to mix with blue.. I bet you know what color we got then.. Ask your child if he/she knows.
Fletcher helping her mom mix the colors.. The children were amazed, as you can see..
Look at us at the carpet.. I am so proud of your children.. Hope you enjoyed some of the fun we have had.
